Before you enter any Yoga Studio, you always have to remove your shoes and prepare yourself to be peacefully calm. During Cracker Barrel, campers did exactly that as the Cracker Barrel camp room became a serene studio for Yoga.
Once the students entered the room, they started off by calming down with a few breathing exercises. After finishing some prepatory breathing, they started with a few basic poses.
One of the poses--the tree pose--helps the campers to maintain balance while standing on one foot. Another of the poses is supposed to help the campers wake-up in the morning (so, hopefully, they will be able to use this when the school year starts!).
These campers enjoyed learning the poses from the Cracker Barrel counselors and they definitely kept the room quiet and peaceful. After running around and doing so many fun activities during the day, the Yoga Studio in Cracker Barrel was exactly what many of these campers needed for rejuvenation.
