Congo Camp 2010

All the day camp areas have a special activity planned for our Congo Conquest teams.  In Archery, the younger day campers are collecting marbles to earn points.  But, the difficulty is that they have to use their toes to pick up the marbles.

Each side (Orange Lava/Green Slime), had a kiddie pool in which to stick their feet and grab the marbles that lay at the bottom of the pool. 

These campers were quite skilled at using their feet as hands and collected the marbles with ease.  We haven't heard the results from who is in the lead, but, as soon as we do, we will let you know!

Day campers had the chance to work with archery these past two days to start building the foundation for their archery skills.

Each day these counselors convey new approaches to aiming and shooting properly with a bow and arrow.

The counselors started to get excited this week as they ordered new materials with which the campers will practice. 

Archery is many campers favorite time as they learn effective ways to hit the target. 

The archery counselors have been continuing the fun this summer as they help our campers in perfecting their skills.

During the day, campers have the chance to practice their skills with bows and arrows during their time at Archery.

The counselors help the campers hone in on the bullseye and ensure they are shooting with precision and skill. Watching the campers focus their eyesight on the target is a great sight to see, but it's an even greater sight to see them hit the bullseye.

Campers definitely enjoy getting time at archery and we hope that by the end of camp they are able to hit the bullseye every time.
